The wooden box that the set was in had latches that were of such poor quality and had such small screws holding the box hinges together that most had fallen off during shipping. None of the mallet heads would attach to the handles. I’m not sure that the mallet heads would not crack during usage since there were no strengthing metal bands. shoddy
Overall I’m pleased with the apparent quality of this set. It is certainly not the finest set available, but it is also certainly far better than most of the less than 100 dollar sets available on the market. It seems to me to be an excellent value for the money. It is nicely finished, attractively designed, and sturdy. I expect it to be more than durable enough for occasional weekend use with my family and friends. I have not used this set yet, but if I have any unpleasant surprises, I will update this review accordingly. squirellgold
