Quality Product

Beautiful wood and colors. Well balanced mallets. Great carrying case. I bought this for my husband's birthday gift. As soon as he opened it
everyone wanted to play a game. We had a ball, everyone enjoyed it from 4 to 70!

For the price, wish it was a bit more durable

I bought these for my wife because she grew up playing croquet. Her family loves to play, so I thought this would be a nice gift for her birthday.

Our first game out she broke the blue ball in the set clean in half...never had that happen before. Before the game was over my mallet head had cracked and a large splinter came off. She commented that the mallets her family had growing up always had hard rubber ends on the heads...these don't. Don't know if these are more traditional, but the heads dog get beat up pretty bad after a while.

The maker was very helpful in getting us replacement equipment (the blue balls were defective, something to do with the chemical mix), but I still don't know if I'd get these again.

Poor quality, expensive to return

We purchased this croquet set in advance of an outdoor party. We never got to use it. Upon opening the package, it was clear that the quality of the set was very low. The mallets were lightweight and would easily be damaged, and the balls appeared to belong with a set with a lower price tag. So having never even struck one of the balls with one of the mallets, we returned the set. We were charged a restocking fee. So between the restocking fee, the original shipping fee, and the return shipping, we're out about $70 and still don't have a croquet set.
